Terms of Use, Risk Disclaimer & Privacy

swap (this site, swap.9summits.io, and the associated command-line tool) is a non-custodial interface that compares swap quotes from independent DEX aggregators and builds a transaction for you to sign in your own wallet. By using it you accept the terms below. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

Read this first

This software is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind. It never holds your funds and never signs for you — every transaction is signed by you, from your own wallet, at your own risk. Verify every transaction before you sign it.

01Terms of Use

Software provided "as is"

swap is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 9summits and its contributors are not liable for any loss or damage — including loss of funds, loss of profit, or consequential damages — arising out of your use of, or inability to use, this interface.

Non-custodial by design

Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for reviewing every transaction — recipient, token, amount, slippage, approval scope — in your wallet before signing, and for the tax, regulatory, and legal consequences of your activity. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of this interface is lawful in your jurisdiction, and you must not use it if you are subject to sanctions or otherwise prohibited from using such tools. Nothing here is an offer or solicitation to anyone in a jurisdiction where such an offer would be unlawful.

Third-party quotes and data

Quotes, routes, prices, and gas estimates come from independent third-party APIs (DEX aggregators such as 1inch, 0x, KyberSwap, Odos, Velora, CoW Protocol, and others), from public price feeds, and from blockchain RPC endpoints. These services are outside our control. Their output may be delayed, stale, incomplete, or wrong, and a quote is an estimate — never a guaranteed execution price. Their own terms and policies apply to the parts of the flow they operate.

No guaranteed availability

The interface may be modified, degraded, interrupted, or discontinued at any time, without notice, in whole or in part — including because an upstream API, RPC provider, or hosting platform fails. We do not guarantee uptime, continuity, or that any given venue will remain supported.

02Risk Disclaimer

Interacting with decentralised protocols carries serious risk, including the total and irreversible loss of the assets involved. Among the risks you accept:

Not financial advice

Nothing on this site — quotes, rankings, route comparisons, price references, or any other content — constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, a recommendation, or an inducement to trade. The ordering of venues reflects a mechanical comparison of API responses, not an opinion on their merit or safety. Do your own research and only commit funds you can afford to lose entirely.

Fees

Using the interface itself is free, but a partner / referral fee may be included in the routes returned by some venues, via those venues' native referral mechanisms. Where applicable it is already reflected in the quoted output amount you see, so the comparison between venues stays like-for-like. On some venues (currently Velora), positive slippage above the quoted amount — the difference between the quote and a better execution — may be retained by the operator through that venue's native surplus mechanism; this does not reduce the quoted amount itself. You also pay network gas fees, and each venue may apply its own protocol or solver fees, which we do not control.

03Privacy

No accounts. No cookies. No trackers. No analytics script. No advertising. No personal data collection. We do not set a single cookie, we run no analytics or tracking script of any kind, and we build no profile of you. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log out of.

What passes through our infrastructure

To fetch quotes, your swap parameters — chain, token pair, amount, slippage, and your wallet address when one is connected — are sent to our serverless functions, which forward them to the third-party aggregator APIs and return the responses to your browser. That is the only purpose we use them for; we do not build a database or a per-user record from them.

Once you sign and broadcast a swap, your browser also reports the outcome to our /done endpoint. From that report we keep an aggregate, anonymous usage counter — the venue, the chain id, and the outcome (transaction sent, order placed, or error) — and nothing else: no wallet address, no amount, and no IP address is stored or aggregated, and no client-side analytics script runs to produce it. These counters live in our hosting and logging providers' server logs (currently Vercel, possibly forwarded to a log-management service) and are used only for aggregate usage statistics, never to identify or track an individual visitor.

Standard, transient infrastructure logs (request lines, error traces) may also be produced by our hosting provider for operational purposes.

Note that a wallet address is inherently public and pseudonymous on-chain data. The third-party aggregators, RPC providers, and price APIs that receive a request necessarily see it, and are governed by their own privacy policies.

What your browser talks to directly

What stays on your device

Your browser's local storage holds a few convenience preferences — recently used tokens, tokens you imported manually, and your wallet connection state. This data stays in your browser, is never transmitted to us, and is removed when you clear your browser storage.

Feedback form

The feedback widget is the only place where you can voluntarily send us information. It posts what you type — feedback type, message, and the contact detail you choose to provide, if any — directly to a Google Form, and is therefore also subject to Google's privacy policy. Leave the contact field empty if you prefer to stay anonymous, and please do not include private keys, seed phrases, or any other sensitive information.
